Committee on Emergency & Regulatory (CORES)
CORES shall serve in an advisory capacity and shall be empowered to:
- Draft proposed local laws and policy updates related to police and fire services
- Engage public safety professionals and consultants as necessary to inform committee work
- Review and recommend changes to the Village's public safety-related fee schedules, including parking fines and excessive lift assist charges
- Develop a comprehensive No-Knock Registry law and procedure to support resident privacy and safety
- Assess interdepartmental coordination, procedures, and standards relevant to accreditation and safety
Board Members
The Committee consists of one chairperson, and four members, they are :
- Mayor Kevin Adams, Chairperson
- Nathan Nagle, Village Manager
- Mike Suhey, Police Chief
- Ryan Wheeler, Fire Chief
- Ricky Skebey, Asst. Fire Chief
Committee Meetings
The committee meets approximately once per month, and reports its activities to the Village Board of Trustees on a monthly basis through a verbal report delivered by the chairperson at a regularly schedule Board meeting.
