Horseheads Outdoor Recreation Events & Spaces (HORSE)
The HORSE Committee shall assist the Village Board and Village administration in matters related to:
- Planning and recommending programming, activities, and events within Village parks and recreational spaces
- Assisting in the development and oversight of community garden initiatives within Village parks or other approved locations
- Recommending beautification, enhancement, and utilization of Village outdoor recreational areas
- Encouraging community participation, volunteerism, and partnerships related to parks and outdoor spaces
Board Members
The Committee consists of one chairperson, and four members, they are :
- Leslie Baker, Chairperson
- Other members TBD
Committee Meetings
The committee meets approximately once per month, and reports its activities to the Village Board of Trustees on a monthly basis through a verbal report delivered by the chairperson at a regularly schedule Board meeting.
